Description
The USCG, Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) is conducting market research seeking qualified sources capable of the implementation and installation of a central vacuum system in support of aircraft composite material repairs. In order to facilitate market research and identify industry solutions specific to this application, ALC will host an Industry Day on December 14, 2020.� The Industry day will consist of an overview of the USCG's requirements, a brief tour of the facility, and an opportunity for each vendor to present a viable solution. Please note that local COVID-19 protocols are in place at the facility and will be strictly enforced.� A draft Statement of Objective (SOO) describing the scope and nature of the requirement is provided with this announcement as Attachment 1. Questions and requests for specific additional information can be submitted to Loretta.J.Sassin@uscg.mil prior to the close of registration. Answers to the questions and requests will provided by an amendment to this announcement and/or covered during the Industry Day.� This event is part of ALC's market research that will be used to identify potential solutions to ultimately determine an optimal procurement strategy. The USCG will be requesting a proposed solution along with a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) be submitted by January 15, 2021. After the review of the ROMs, and if the USCG still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 333318 and the small business is size standard is 1,000 employees. Contractors must register to attend this event. Interested parties shall submit the attached registration questionnaire no later than December 7, 2020 at 11:59 PM EST. Access to the USCG base in Elizabeth City will not be granted without this information.� This notice is not a solicitation and does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as one. Therefore, there will be no evaluation of responses to this notice for award purposes. Respondents deemed fully qualified may be considered in any resulting future solicitation where quotes or proposals will be requested. There is no date set for a resulting solicitation and no guarantee that a solicitation will be issued. All submitted materials will be designated for Government Use Only. Respondents are advised that the USCG will not be responsible for any costs incurred in response to this request or participation in the Industry Day. Who Should Attend Attendance is limited to companies with demonstrated expertise in the implementation and installation of centrally installed industrial grade vacuum equipment. Prior federal contracting experience is not required. Registration Please complete and email the registration form and any related questions to Loretta.J.Sassin@uscg.mil. Attendance is limited to two (2) representatives of each company. Each representative must pre-register using the Registration Form (Attachment 2) in order to attend the event.� Registration will close at 11:59 pm EST on December 7, 2020. Day of Event Please allow 15 minutes for security screening required to enter USCG Base Elizabeth City. This event is open to U.S. citizens and Green Card holders only. A current Government issued photo ID (i.e. driver's license, military ID) will be required for admittance.
