- Description
- Page 2 of 2 This is a Special Notice of intent to award a sole source. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs Bronx, NY 10468 on behalf of VA Medical Center Northport, NY 11768 intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC 210 6th Ave, STE 3300 Pittsburgh, PA 15222. VAMC Northport requires a temporary deionization (DI) water purification system for water suitable for sterile processing applications until a permanent reverse osmosis water filtration system can be installed. DI purified water is required for the final rinse cycle of instrument washer-decontaminators, steam sterilization processes, at the clean-up sinks, and is used in ultrasonic cleaners. This decreases mineral deposits on instrumentation and helps maintain the efficiency of the sterilization equipment. The contractor shall include system installation, deinstallation at the end of the contract, all maintenance services (including corrective and preventative), inspection, 24/7 remote system monitoring, repairs, part(s) replacement and water testing. The authority for this action is IAW FAR 13.106-1 Justification for Single Source Award. A firm-fixed price contract with base year and two one-year options is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government s belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government s intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. Justification for this sole source procurement is IAW FAR 13.106-1 Justification for Single Source Award. The applicable NAICS code is 811310. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. The Government will consider responses received by 10:00am on November 30, 2020. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to Josie.Tuitt@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
