Description

Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with NicheVision, 526 S. Main Street, Suite 714G, Akron, OH 44311 Salient Characteristics: NicheVision (NVF) will provide annual software maintenance licenses and support for DFSC. This software is employed by both the US Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) and the Forensic Expeditionary Division (FXD) for processing of DNA Samples in criminal cases and DNA examinations supporting contingency operations. NVF will provide client support by telephone, remote access or e-mail during the support hours from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm EST. Support is limited to the use of reasonable commercial efforts to answer questions from client. The client shall provide NVF with all information and access to client�s computer that is reasonably necessary to respond to any request. The NAICS code is 511210. The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c) (1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 0700 EST, Monday, 30 November 2020, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
