- C4/D5 Motor disposal Hill air force base, UTAh � 1.0������ Classification Code� 14�Guided Missiles 2.0������ NAICS Code �� 541330 3.0������ Contracting Office Address Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) 1250 10th Street, Suite 4600 Washington DC 20374 4.0������ Synopsis � This SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) is issued to assist the Agency in performing market research to determine industry interest and capability.� No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice.� THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. 5.0������ Purpose In accordance with FAR Part 10, SSP is conducting market research to identify businesses capable of providing for the disposal of Trident I (C4) or Trident II (D5) First, Second, and Third Stage motors in support of the Trident Missile Program.� SSP is seeking concise capability statements (restricted to no more than five 8.5 X 11 inch pages, in a font no smaller than 10 point) which identify the vendor�s current capabilities to perform/execute the requirements identified in Section 6.� Potential sources must have a security clearance, and have demonstrated capability to provide support to the disposal operations at the Utah Test and Training Range located on Hill Air Force Base. 6.0������ Description of Requirements� SSP requires contractor support to perform the following operations on each C4/D5 First Stage, Second Stage, and Third Stage motor: Disassembly operation Propellant Removal operation Disposal operation The contractor will also need to do the following Periodically examine C4 propellant fins and C4 or D5 motors, provided by the government, for propellant degradation and softening over a two year period in order to better understand propellant aging and motor safety concerns. Conduct investigations, as directed by the Government, to determine the acceptability of various storage, handling, and transportation approaches for C4/D5 motors. Inspect, maintain, repair, modify and document effort associated with Government owned or controlled Special Support Equipment and Tooling needed to transport First, Second, and Third stage fleet ballistic missile rocket motors. 7.0������ Period of Performance The Period of Performance is estimated to be five years. 8.0������ Place of Performance The disassembly and propellant removal shall occur at the contractor�s facility.� The contractor will then transport the components to the Utah Test and Training Range located on Hill Air Force Base for disposal operations. 9.0������ Capability Package Submittal Requirements Interested sources shall submit a capability package in Microsoft Word (compatible format) or PDF format that is restricted to no more than three 8.5 X 11 inch pages, in Times New Roman font no smaller than 10 point.� Packages are due no later than 1 December 2020, 3:00pm EST and shall be submitted via e-mail to Jokera McNeil at jokera.mcneil@ssp.navy.mil and Alex Miller at alexander.miller@ssp.navy.mil. The email shall be entitled �C4/D5 Motor Disposal Capability Statement.� ALL submittals shall include the following information: Company Administrative Information � Company Name: Company Point of Contact (email and phone) and Title: Company Address: DUNS No: Cage Code: � Identify your small business socio-economic status (if applicable). Which NAICS code or codes do you currently provide rocket motor disposal under? Specifics addressing the subject matter expertise, capability, and experience with regard to the motor disposal requirements mentioned under Section 6, The Description of Requirements. Related past performance information.
