Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a Request for Proposal for the Transformer A & B Replacement project at the Fox Point Hurricane Barrier, located in Providence, RI. �This is an Unrestricted Best Value Procurement. The NAICS code for the work described below is 238210. The project is planned to be issued in December 2020. The construction is expected to occur in 2021. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.� Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a proposal to be considered by the New England District. � This project has the following major components. The purpose of this project is to replace the two original oil filled power transformers referred to as power transformer �A� and �B� as well as the original manually operated disconnect switches at the transformer primary connections. This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents which will include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about December 2020. �Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. �The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the System for Award Management website (beta.sam.gov). �All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the New England District.� Additional questions may be emailed to the Contract Specialist at heather.m.skorik@usace.army.mil.
