OVERHAUL DESCRIPTION � ITEM NAME����������� CYLINDER HEAD STOCK NUMBER�� 2815-01-F18-5601������������������� SHELF LIFE CD��� 0 PART NUMBER���� 7N9532 USED ON��������������� 270 EDG Items as received by the contractor must be complete and of proper cited part number.� Discrepancies shall be reported to the Coast Guard Contractor Officer. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Each cylinder head shall be disassembled, cleaned, inspected and suitable non-destruction testing performed to determine the suitability for overhaul.� A condition report shall be submitted to the Coast Guard Contracting Officer within 30 days of receipt of the cylinder head. The condition report shall include a recommendation to continue with the overhaul or dispose of damaged casting. �If the cylinder head casting is determined to be suitable for overhaul the condition report shall also include a cost proposal to restore the cylinder head to a ready for installation condition.� The cost proposal shall include costs for all required parts, machine services, labor, crating, labeling and shipping. OVERHAUL REQUIREMENTS: Each cylinder head shall be overhauled to a condition which shall restore the operating and performance characteristics to the OEM�s like new current design and technical specifications.� Overhaul shall be performed in accordance with CATERPILLAR specifications and standards, which are proprietary to CATERPILLAR.� All repair parts shall be genuine CATERPILLAR manufactured parts. After completion of all repairs a final inspection/assembly report shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer for approval.� This report shall have all OEM minimum and maximum design dimensions and clearances of all attributes along with actual dimensions documented. �All out of tolerance dimensions shall be circled or highlighted.� A waiver request shall be submitted with all out of tolerance conditions stating why the out of tolerance condition is acceptable along with a statement that the function and performance of the cylinder head will not be diminished or compromised. WARRANTY: ______ a.� Standard Manufacturer�s Warranty ___X____ b.� Item being repaired as an �onboard repair� or a �system stock� item and will be put into inventory.� NOT FOR IMMEDIATE INSTALLATION.� Contractor must guarantee item against defects that lead to failure for 90 days after installation for a period of up to two (2) years after delivery to the Coast Guard.
