- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Procurement and Property Services, East Zone is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice for information related to contractors experienced and capable of performing Interpreting (sign language) services. The work is to be performed at the Savannah River Site Forest Station in New Ellenton, SC. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541930 with a PSC code: R608. A. Vendor is to provide interpreter services with the following certifications: �� i. Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) ��� ii. National Associations of the Deaf (NAD) B. Requesting interpreter who does oral and uses Signing Exact English (SEE) method.� C. Vendor shall provide interpreter service during normal business hours (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday, Eastern Standard Time. �� D. The Government shall provide the contractor with at least two days full business day notification of the time and date when the interpreter services will be required. The Government will provide the location of the assignment (building, floor, room number, etc.) as well as information on the nature or content of the type of services. �If the contractor cannot perform the service, they will notify the Government at least 24 hours in advance of the requested time of service. �� E. Estimated number of meetings:� 31 ��� Estimated number of hours:� 49 � 73�� Some meetings may be virtual�� F. Security:� SITE ACCESS AUTHORIZATION FOR CONTRACTOR AND EMPLOYEES Contractor, Contractor's employees, subcontractors and subcontractors' employees will be required to attend General Employee Training (GET) prior to obtaining a Savannah River Site.�� G. Travel: �Contractor is responsible for all travel expenses, including scheduling, ground transportation, and food.�� This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals.� This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION to assist with market research. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.� All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and all information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. �This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. ��� Interested parties should submit with their response the following information no later than 09:00 AM EST November 23, 2020 to include company name, address, DUNS number, business size, and any socioeconomic classification.� If company has a GSA or other government contract � please include contract number as well.
