- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC), has a requirement for Global Metabolomics on Fetal Liver in Clay Center, NE. The NAICS Code is 541715. In response to this sources sought please submit information on your company's capabilities to provide this service. Please also provide information on whether your company is a small or large business in accordance with the NAICS code listed. The Government acknowledges that responses to this sources sought are not binding offers. The information obtained will assist in our market research and future solicitation processes. The purpose of this sources sought is solely to obtain information and sources for our future requirement. Background: Scientists are developing scientific information and new technology to solve high priority problems for the U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries. As part of the effort, they require global metabolomics using UHPLC-MS/MS in positive and negative ion mode on fetal liver samples to assess the effects of maternal mineral and energy supplementation during early pregnancy on fetal liver metabolism. Technical Requirements/Tasks:Non-targeted UPLC-MS using multiple analysis methods to cover a diverse class of metabolites and provide the following analysis: Sample Preparation Multiple Analysis methods including: UHPLC-MS/MS(+ESI)1, UHPLC-MS/MS(+ESI)2, UHPLC-MS/MS(-ESI), UHPLC (HILIC)-MS/MS. A relative concentration profile of all structurally named small-molecule entities, which can include both endogenous compounds, xenobiotics, and their metabolites, extracted from the samples and detected by an HD4 Global Metabolomics platform. Coverage depth up to 1000 to 25000 metabolites/samples A statistical analysis of the resulting data, which consists of univariate significance tests (t-tests and ANOVA). Summary biochemical interpretation of selected, statistically significant metabolites provided in a Word report. An outline of the analytical methods. Access to downloadable study deliverables. Access to data analysis and visualization tools that allow for further data exploration. Publication ready tables and figures.
