Description

The Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group (MCSCG) provides the Weapons Proficiency for the Insider Threat (WPIT) training package to teams of Marines deploying to various regions around the world. These Marines often rely on the service pistol, or some pistol variant as their primary weapon system.� The Security Cooperation (SC) Training and Readiness Manual states that high risk pistol techniques should be considered during mission analysis in order to prepare the SC team in force protection measures. The MCSCG Training Branch will be adding the WPIT Program of Instruction (POI) to the Marine Advisor Course (MAC) POI. The MCSCG has an instructor cadre responsible for training these SC teams in the employment of the pistol and high risk pistol techniques. This MCSCG WPIT instructor cadre requires contractor training to further its ability to conduct and instruct training in selected tasks.
