Description: The procurement of the repair of the deep well pumps is a critical requirement for FCC Terre Haute. It was determined that the deep well pumps were hit by a lightning strike. This caused pump #3 water tower booster pump and well pump #2 failures.� This creates an Urgent and Compelling situation for the Institution due to the impending not being able to adequately provide water to the staff and inmate population.� This also affects fire suppression systems at the Federal Correctional Institution and prison camp.� This was deemed both a life safety issue and could result in a significant cost to the Government if not acted upon quickly.�
