Description

The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Beckman Coulter, 250 South Kraemer Blvd., Brea, CA. 92821, (CAGE: 80740) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to establish a contract for calibration of 3 particle counters and temperature air probes for a base period of one (1) year, with provisions for four (4) one year options.� Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required services.� Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Beckman Coulter, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the particle counters and probes.� THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within four (4) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
