- The 17th Contracting Squadron at Goodfellow AFB, TX, is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing repair and renovation to an existing Search/Roof Ventilation Trainer. Please see below for specifics � Search/Roof Ventilation Trainer Renovation Project Scope Install roof mounted shade covers; move flat roof ventilation trainer between structures; reconfigure search rooms; add search rooms on one second floor; replace/upgrade HVAC; repair doors and stairs; add a climate controlled rehabilitation room within existing structure spaces. These search/roof ventilation trainers are used to train Department of Defense basic firefighting students in search techniques and roof ventilation methods IAW NFPA 1001.� Trainers are constructed of two stacked high cube tripper ISO shipping containers; roof is standard shipping container steel flat roof. Trainer Numbers � 3458B and 3458C. Build: Two roof top shade structures approximately 28�W x 60�L x 15� H to shade the roof ventilation training area. Second floor search rooms in trainer 3458B. Repair/Replace: Doors � 8 total door covers (4 exterior, 4 interior). Window � 4 Stairs � stringers and treads (4 total). HVAC � (4 total) Reconfigure: Search rooms in both trainers. Flat roof ventilation trainer � move from 3458B to 3458C. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this RFI will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Air Force in developing its acquisition strategy and performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to it. The purpose of this RFI is assessment of vendor interest and will aid the government in identifying potential vendors and their business classification. The NAICS Code determined appropriate for this acquisition is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The size standard associated with NAICS 811219 is $22 million dollars. Vendors responding to this announcement shall indicate their business size for NAICS code 811219 and any socio-economic statuses. Please include your CAGE Code and DUNS number as well.
