Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order for the equipment, materials, and labor required to supply and install Hawk 4000 boiler controls integrated with a remote Master Control Panel.� The Hawk 4000 boiler controls will replace the Hawk Gen 1 boiler controls on three Cleaver-Brooks 732 HP steam boilers.� This requirement will be procured in accordance with regulatory authority at Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), ""Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements"" and Bureau of Prisons Acquisition Policy (BPAP) 6.3, �Other Than Full and Open Competition.� C & C Boiler Sales and Service, Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina is the only source capable of fulfilling the Government�s requirement, as they are the only Cleaver-Brooks factory trained and authorized service location for the state of North Carolina. � This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. �All responses should be submitted via email to the Point of Contact listed in this posting no later than the closing date. �Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. �
