Description

This is a notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), 5224 Martin Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898, intends to issue a sole source solicitation under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2) - �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements� to collect radiometric electro-optical (EO) visible through long-wave infrared (LWIR) data on MDA flight test events through operation and sustainment, mission planning and execution and improvement and modernization of the airborne sensor fleet. Only L-3 Communications Integrated Systems is capable of providing the required services without substantial duplication of cost that is not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays. The solicitation will be issued under HQ0855-21-R-0005 to L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, 6501 Apache ST, Tulsa, OK 74115 and will fall under product service code (PSC) AC23 and NAICS code 541330. The period of performance for this effort will be 23 June 2021 through 22 June 2026. This effort is currently being performed on contract HQ0147-11-D-0014. This notice is not a request for proposals. However, responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the MDA. The Government will not pay for information submitted.� All responses must be received no later than 6 November, 2020, 10:00am, central time and should be submitted via email (MDAABS@mda.mil).� No telephone inquiries will be accepted.� Approved for Public Release 20-MDA-10604 (21 Oct 20) The administrative update on 29 October 2020 corrected a system error which displayed the set-aside status as ""8(a) Sole Source (FAR 19.8)."" The set-aside field was updated to remove the ""8(a) Sole Source (FAR 19.8)"" reference and now shows correctly as blank.
