- Amendment 0001 The purpose of Amendment 0001 is as follows: 1. To provide a responses to industry questions, which can be found in Attachment J-9 - DCE Modernization Kits SIR Question-Comment Matrix - FAA Response. 2. Replace Attachment J-4 DCE Custom Parts Documentation for the purpose of revising document TCT Minimum Requirements. Please follow the instuctions outlined in Section L.9�to receive Attachments J.1-J.7. ______________________________________________ This Screening Information Request (SIR) is issued in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy Section 3.2.1.3.11 Public Announcements. Vendors are hereby notified that the AMS applies to FAA procurements in place of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and various other provisions of Federal acquisition law. The FAA intends to procure Airport Surveillance Radar � Model 9 (ASR-9) Data Communications Equipment (DCE) Modernization Kits. The ASR-9 DCE Modernization Kits will be deployed in two stages. An initial stage is to add the infrastructure needed to test the communication lines between the local and remote locations.�The final stage is the installation of equipment to connect the ASR-9 local site equipment with the new communication infrastructure.�As part of the scope of work, the contractor must acquire, assemble, and pack infrastructure kits and installation kits to support these stages of the deployment.
