Description
The EOD community has demonstrated the operational viability of ground robotics and the criticality of this technology to the protection and preservation of human life. To meet current requirements, the EOD career field requires a large robot to replace the aging Remotec F6A inventory. �The Government is looking to procure a COTS system meeting EOD requirements from a manufacturer capable of providing support for up to 10 years in the form of future system acquisitions, maintenance, logistical support and system upgrades.� The work required by this contract shall be performed in accordance with standards and formats identified within this Statement of Work. �Given that the large EOD robot is intended to operate in a variety of hostile environments and terrain, the systems will be subjected to a variety of environmental conditions and expected to withstand a significant amount of punishment during operations. �The Contractor shall deliver a large robotic system that meets the following capabilities:� a.�� �Highly Mobile b. � Equipped with Camera System c. � �Equipped with manipulator arm with a gripper end effector d.�� �Operate in all weather, terrain and environments (common deployed field conditions expected) e. � Have minimum 800-meter line-of-sight (LOS) radio range f. � �Ability to fire disruptor such as Percussion Actuated Non-Electric (PAN) g. � Minimum 3-hour runtime or the equivalent of one EOD mission h. � Fit in Base Response Vehicle (BRV) and Bomb Squad Emergency Response Vehicle (BSERV) � �
