- Description
- The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Dominance Division, AIM-120 Development Branch (AFLCMC/EBAD) has awarded a sole source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to the Raytheon Company, 1151 E. Hermans Road, Tucson AZ, 85756 for AMRAAM Development Field Team and Lab Support. The purpose of this contract is to provide support for AMRAAM system development test activities to include laboratory management, field team test support, testing, and analysis. Requirements include providing materials and services necessary to accomplish the management of test labs, test planning, test operations, and telemetry data collection and analysis. Support will be provided for continuation of lab functionality and accessibility, ground tests, captive flight tests, and live fire tests to include instrumented and tactical test assets. Repairs of lab and test assets will also be performed as needed. Services will be performed at multiple locations including, but not limited to, Raytheon facility in Tucson, AZ�and Eglin, Hill, Tyndall, Edwards, Holloman and Nellis Air Force Bases, as well as China Lake, Pax River, and Pt Mugu Naval Air Stations. Other locations include the Utah Test Range and White Sands Missile Range.��The only known responsible source that can satisfy this requirement is the Raytheon Company because it possesses the required, specific, and detailed knowledge that could only be gained by years of experience in applying skills to the specific AMRAAM missile design. Raytheon�has extensive experience with AMRAAM software, produces the AMRAAM missile in all configurations, and operates the only known AMRAAM special test assets and�simulation facilities. This 9-year IDIQ contract (5-year base with 4-year option) has a base ordering period from 1 November 2020 through 30 September 2025 and option ordering period from 1 October 2025 through 30 September 2029 with a contract Period of Performance not to exceed 30 September 2030. The contract ceiling, or maximum ordering amount, is $192,000,000.� An initial Task Order (FA8675-21-F-3001) was awarded concurrently with the basic contract, for a total cost plus fixed fee face value of $9,340,824.�
