Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate contracts on an other than full and open competition basis with the Raytheon Company, 2501 W. University Drive, McKinney, TX 75071-2813.� The anticipated contracts are for the required effort to procure APY-10 Radar System software upgrades, installs, capability enhancements and hardware obsolescence updates in support of the P-8A Poseidon aircraft.� This action shall be procured pursuant of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� The Raytheon Company is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the P-8A Poseidon APY-10 Radar System with the detailed knowledge to allow them to perform the update in a timely and cost effective manner.
