Description
NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC)�has a requirement for Aerospace Testing Facilities Operations and Maintenance-4 (ATOM-4).�� ATOM-4 provides testing, operations, and maintenance of the Wind Tunnels and associated support facilities at NASA Ames Research Center. These facilities include but are not limited to: Unitary Plan Wind Tunnels, Ballistic Range Complex, Arcjet Complex, Balance Calibration Laboratory, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, and Sensor Development Laboratory. These facilities are national aerospace test facilities utilized by NASA, private industry, universities, DOD, and other government agencies. NASA ARC intends to extend the current contract NNA16BD26C, which expires on February 1, 2021, for Aerospace Testing Facilities Operations and Maintenance-4 (ATOM-4) with Jacobs Technology Inc. on a sole-source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304 (c) (1), and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. � The purpose for the extension is necessary to continue on-going mission critical work, pending placement of the follow-on contract. The period of performance will be extended for up to 18 months, consisting of a 12-month base period, and six one-month option periods.� The period of performance will be extended from February 2, 2021 through August 1, 2022, if all options are exercised.� The extension will increase the current contract value. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. ��� Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Erin K. Contreras, Contracting Officer at erin.k.contreras@nasa.gov not later than 5:00 PM PST on Thursday, November 12, 2020.��Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis.� A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
