Description

THIS IS NOT A FORMAL SOLICITATION. This announcement constitutes a PRE-SOLICITATION notice in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2. On or about 9 November 2020, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District hereby announces its intent to issue a solicitation for �Big Bend Motor Control Center (MCC) Replacement�. The solicitation will close on or about 7 December 2020. �This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED AND OPEN TO BOTH SMALL BUSINESSES AND LARGE BUSINESSES. Site Visit: A Site Visit will be scheduled and additional information regarding the site visit will be provided in the solicitation. The site visit is tentatively scheduled for November 18, 2020 at 9:00AM CST at the Big Bend Power House, address to Big Bend Project Office is 33573 N Shore Rd, Fort Thompson, SD 57339 the meeting will take place at the Powerhouse which is approximately 1.5 miles south of the Project Office off of SD HWY 47. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Big Bend Motor Control Center (MCC) Replacement This is a project is to replace several Motor Control Centers (MCCs) at the Big Bend Powerhouse. There are multiple motor controls and associated panel boards of varying sizes expected to require replacement at Big Bend. The updated equipment will be replaced with modern equipment and controls designed to meet arc flash standards and incorporate maintenance modes in order to protect project personnel from arc flash hazards. The Period of Performance for this effort is for 720 days from date of award. NAICS Code: The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is 335313, Switchgear and Switchboard Apparatus Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1250 Employees.
