Page 3 of 3 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Philadelphia, PA intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed price contract for Project number 642-CSI-117, Renovate MRI Suites for Equipment Upgrades. The Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Philadelphia VAMC) requires a firm fixed price construction contract for Renovate MRI Suites for Equipment Upgrades. The Philadelphia VAMC has a requirement for General Construction and Alterations necessary for the complete renovation of the following existing spaces: Avanto MRI Room 3A151, Waiting 3A151A, Reception 3A151B, Corridor 3A151C, Changing 3A151D, Changing 3A151E, Corridor 3A151F, TECH Area 3A151G, Inpatient 3A151i, Corridor 3A151J, MRI Control Room 3A151K, Corridor 3A151M, Equipment 3A151N, TECH Area 3A151P, ESPREE MRI Room 3A152, Closet 3A152A, MRI Control Room 3A152B and Equipment Room 3A152C, as indicated on the plans and in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The construction magnitude for this project is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 and construction is expected to be completed within 270 days after the notice to proceed is issued. Refer to the Project Drawings, Specifications and Description contained in the solicitation for details of the scope of work for this Contract. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Additionally, the Government intends to use the Best Value tradeoff process source selection approach in accordance with FAR 15.101-1. Solicitation documents, including the Scope of Work, will be available electronically on or about November 20, 2020, at the following website: https://fbohome.sam.gov/. Interested contractors shall search for solicitation 36C24420R0104 to access the solicitation documents and any amendments. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE WEBSITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. The North American Industrial Classification code (NAICS) for this project is 236220. The small business size standard is $33,500,000.00. The PSC is Z2DA Repair or Alteration of Hospitals and Infirmaries. The Project Magnitude is between $1,000,000,000 and $5,000,000,000. The contract completion time will be Two Hundred and Seventy (270) Calendar Days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A One hundred and twenty (120) day proposal acceptance period shall be required. A Pre-proposal Meeting/Site Visit will be announced in the solicitation, and will be held at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19104. The exact location and time of the pre-proposal conference will be contained in the solicitation. All potential offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-proposal Meeting/Site Visit. This will serve as the perfect opportunity for contractors to fully understand the project, as there will be representative(s) from Engineering and Contracting offices in attendance. There will also be an on-location site visit so all offerors in attendance can familiarize themselves with the work environment.
