Description
The Millennium Challenge Corporations (MCC) the Finance, Investment and Trade Division (FIT) requests to become a member organization of ANDE to ensure project sustainability by addressing capital access challenges faced by small and emerging businesses. The success of MCC compact and threshold programs is dependent upon collective action and the building of a robust ecosystem and supply chain for capital access. There is strong mission, geographical, and strategic partnership alignment between ANDE and MCC. Of interest to FIT is ANDEs existing relationships with development finance institutions and donor aid agencies. Among these are MCCs U.S. Government sister agencies USAID and OPIC. Other prominent ANDE members include UKAID, Australias Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation (SDC), United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), and International Finance Corporation (IFC). ANDE is the sole global organization dedicated to SGBs, and membership offers resource sharing among members, tools for metrics and consultations, and discounted trainings and seminars. Joining ANDE will raise MCCs profile among local, regional, and global partners, and demonstrate its commitment to developing the capacity of SGBs through robust capital supply chains.
