Description

The 501st Combat Support Wing at RAF Alconbury intends to award a sole-source contract to Strong's Plastic Products of Tamworth, UK; for the fabrication of a replacement water tank, for a Pierce P-26 Fire Tanker Truck. The P-26 truck is located in the United Kingdom, and in need of a replacement tank.� The design for the replacement tank must be approved by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) and�441st Vehicle Support Chain Operations Squadron (VSCOS), in accordance with Air Force Instruction 24-302, Vehicle Management.� Strong's Plastic Products Ltd. is the only vendor in the UK with an approved design.� Please see attached J&A for more details.
