Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The MCIEast Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Oxford Instruments America, Inc. (Cage Code: 1EPT2) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is to provide On-Site Preventative Maintenance on one (1) Ultim Max X-Ray Spectrometer from 30 Nov 2020 through 29 Nov 2021 (NAICS: 811219 per the Performance Work Statement).� Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required preventative maintenance.� Therefore, the Government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis to Oxford Instruments America, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer.� THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
