Description
The Salem VA Medical Center (VAMC), Salem, Virginia is issuing this source sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for Upgrade Elevators project #658-18-101. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors. The work is for the repairing of the Building 1, 4, 5, 10, 11, 76, and 143 elevators. All work shall be performed at the Salem VAMC, Salem, Virginia 24153. The scope of the project will be repair to services, patient, and cart lift elevators in Building 143. In Building 1, 5, 10, and 76 are passenger elevators and Building 4 has a freight elevator that need to be repair. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: Firm s name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and business size and type of ownership for the organization. Is your firm currently registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) formerly known as the Center Contractor s Registration (CCR) database? If not, has it been registered, or does it plan to register? In consideration of NAICS code 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors with a small size standard in dollars of $16.5M, which of the following small business categories is your firm classified under, if any? Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women-owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, or 8(a) Business. Is your firm capable of performance and Payment bonds for a project valued between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Is your firm a small business interested in performing as a subcontractor or a prime contractor? Does your firm have experience in working at a Veteran Administration Medical Centers? If so, how many years of experience? Does your firm have experience in elevator repair? If so, how many years of experience? The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to 1) provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated; 2) secure and apply the full range of corporate financial, human capital, and technical resources required to successfully perform similar requirements; 3) implement a successful project management plan that includes: compliance with tight program schedules; cost containment; meeting and tracking performance; hiring and retention of key personnel and risk mitigation; and 4) provide services under a performance based service acquisition contract. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION, and multiple awards MAY be made.
