Description

NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) has a requirement to award a purchase order to Data Device Corporation (DDC) for the MIL-STD-1553 PCI Express Input/Output (I/O) boards. The I/O boards are in support of the avionics system testing and development within the Integrated Avionics Test Facilities (IATF), which includes the System Integration Labs (SIL), the Software Development Facilities (SFD), and the System Integration Test Facilities (SITF). NASA/MSFC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the proprietary DDC brand name MIL-STD-1553 PCI Express I/O boards are required to support the MSFC IATF labs under the Vehicle Integration project within the Space Launch System (SLS) program. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact,�kelcey.cole@nasa.gov no later than October 7, 2020 by 4:00 P.M. CST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
