Description
Joint Base San Antonio intends to award a sole source blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to Mireles Party Ice for 20lb bags ands 10lb blocks of ice, delivery to Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, and be provided with 8 merchandiser freezers. US Army MEDCOM provided the 502nd Contracting Squadron a list of vendors in this area that have approved sources of water and cansupply ice. US Army MEDCOM has the authority to approve/disapprove water sources due to the regualtions listed below.� All contractors with approved watersources were contacted. Due to the estimated dollar value, this would be a small business set aside if it were to be competed. If there are any questions please contact jason.wilburn.2@us.af.mil 1.Department of the Army Regulation 40-657/NAVSUP 4355.4H/MCO P10110.31H, Veterinary/Medical Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Laboratory Service 1-1 Purpose. This regulation� a. Defines the food safety and quality assurance mission of the U.S. Army Veterinary Service. (1) The U.S. Army Veterinary Service will be used to meet the requirements of individual Services and departments. (2) The U.S. Army Veterinary Service will support the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. Qualified Navy and Marine Corps medical department personnel or Air Force public Health personnel may be used to perform these functions if Army veterinary personnel are not available. 2.Department of the Army Pamphlet 30-22, Operating Procedures for the Army Food Program�5-57 Potable and Dry Ice �Potable ice required for installation needs is procured locally or supplied at point of use by individual ice machines. Regardless of the source, ice should be made, stored, and conveyed under TB MED 530. Installations or overseas commands establish ice allowances to meet local requirements. Purchase orders or contracts may specify delivery of ice by a vendor. 3. TB MED 530/NAVMED P-5010-1/AFMAN 48-147_P, Technical Bulletin, Tri-Service Food Cod 3-202.16 Ice Ice for use as a FOOD or cooling medium shall be-�(B) From an APPROVED SOURCE IAW AR 40 657/NAVSUP 4355.4H/MCO P10110.31H when procured from a commercial source.�
