Description

The MCIEast Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to EMA Design Automation, Inc. (Cage Code: 04PC5) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is to provide Software Maintenance and Support for the existing licenses of Cadence OrCAD PCB, Cadence Allegro PCB, and Cadence Ultra Librarian products with a base period of twelve (12) months with provisions for two (2) twelve-month options (NAICS: 511210 per the purchase description).� Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required software support.� Therefore, the Government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis to EMA Design Automation, Inc., the only authorized U.S. Distributor for the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the software � Cadence Design Systems, Inc. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
