- This is a Sources Sought announcement and is for information/market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The USDA, Forest Service, Region 5 is planning to solicit for replacement of the existing security camera system and install additional cameras to increase security and provide consistent operation. The work will be conducted at Region 5 Regional Office Building, 1323 Club Drive, Vallejo, California 94592. The type of set-aside decision to be issued will depend upon the capabilities of the responses to this sources sought announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Economically Disadvantage Woman-Owned Small Business. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUB Zone, EDWOSB and SDVOSB are highly encouraged to participate. Background: The existing security camera system is comprised of 15 cameras, a head unit with DVR,UPS power supplies, a power supply located on the 4th floor North Wing, a monitor and power supply in the Law Enforcement Office located on the 1st Floor North Wing, a monitor and power supply at the receptionist desk located on the 2nd floor and monitor, power supply in the mail room and loading dock located on the 1st Floor, South Wing. Cameras are located at the following locations: 1 interior camera located at employee entrance to North Wing 1 exterior camera on SW rooftop 1 interior camera located at receptionist desk 1 exterior camera on west roof top facing employee parking lot between North and South Wings 1 interior camera located in hallway near stairwell 1 1 exterior camera located at loading dock 1 exterior camera on SE corner of roof 1 exterior camera located on NE corner of roof 1 exterior camera located at employee entrance (double sliding doors) 1 exterior camera at Public Lobby entrance 1 interior camera located first floor North wing near breakroom 1 interior camera located first floor south wing near mail room and elevator mechanical room 1 exterior camera located at vehicle gate 1 exterior camera located on ESE side adjacent to camera located at SE corner of roof 1 exterior camera located on NW corner of roof Work may include but not limited to: Demolition of all current cameras, power supplies, DVR, UPS, monitors, associated hardware and software, mounting equipment, and cabling for current camera systems. Installation of a new security camera system with all appropriate associated equipment, hardware, and software at the locations identified in paragraph 2 and add installation of 6 additional cameras at the locations below to provide 24-hour, consistent, reliable, and interrupted operation, visibility and on-demand digital record of the entire building property and footprint. Employee Parking Lot The Contractor will determine best locations and install 4 cameras in the employee parking area under solar panels to provide 360-degree visibility of entire parking lot, entry gate, perimeter fence of building Annex Building 1 camera located in the northeast corner roof 1 camera located in the southwest corner roof The intent is to have a contract awarded during the first quarter of FY2021. Firm's response to this Sources Sought Announcement shall be limited to five (5) pages and shall include the following information: 1. Company�s name, address, point of contact, phone number, and email address. 2. Company�s DUNS number 3. Company�s capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity. Provide a brief description of project, customer name, timelines of performance, and dollar value of the project). Provide at least three (3) examples. 4. Company�s Business Size (i.e. LB, SB, WOSB, Hubzone, 8(a), SDVOSB) The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 334290 Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing. Size standard in number of employees s 750. All interested companies are advised that registration in the System for Award Management database (SAM) is required prior to award of a contract. There is no cost for registration in SAM when registration is completed on the official SAM website https://beta.sam.gov/ Solicitation packages are not available. This is not a Request for Proposals.
