- Description
- Location: � Proximity to mass transit must be a walkable � mile from building entrance. � A variety of inexpensive and moderately priced fast food and/or eat-in restaurants shall be located within � mile from the building entrance. � Employee services, such as retail shops, cleaners, banks, etc., shall also be located within � mile from the building entrance. Building/Space Layout: � Offered space must be on no more than two (2) floors. � Space must be above ground floor or above street level. � Space must not be located on the same floor with other DHS agencies. � Building must have a loading dock and service elevator. � Building must provide non-public pedestrian entrance. � Building must not house the following groups or organizations: o Public defenders; o Probation or parole agencies; o Public aid or government services offices (i.e. motor vehicle agency, social services agencies, immigration applicant services center, etc.); that allow for unscheduled appointments and offer public waiting areas where movement of DHS OIG subjects, cooperators, witnesses, or sources of information, could be compromised; o Medical clinics or emergency room facilities; that have regular walk-in traffic and public congregation; o News media to include print, radio, or television; o Foreign national governments; o Foreign owned companies*. *Foreign owned companies must meet DHS OIG Facilities and Security Services Division requirements and vetting procedures. � The design of the space offered shall be conducive to efficient layout and good utilization. � The building shall project a professional and aesthetically pleasing appearance inside and outside, with an attractive frontage and entrance. � Space must meet the Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. � Other typical and special requirements as called for in the Request for Lease Proposals (RLP) package. � Government requires access 24/7. � Parking spaces for 6 (six) Government Owned Vehicles (GOV�s) required and should be accessible 24/7. � A fully serviced lease is required.
