- Description
- The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is issuing a request for proposal for accomplishing the removal and replacement of the Starboard Main Propulsion Motor of the USCGC HEALY during an unplanned dry docking of the vessel. Note that a wider dock is required than normal for side clearance due to the motor�s size. Replacement motor will be provided as Government Furnished Equipment and delivered to Offeror�s dry dock location. USCGC HEALY is home ported in Seattle, WA. There is a geographic restriction to the West Coast of the United States as per PACAREAINST 3100.1G; Interim Waiver to HEALY Geographic Restriction. This requirement will result in the award of a single firm fixed price ship repair contract. To receive an award, the Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov/SAM/ . The contract is expected to be awarded on or about 12 October 2020.� The period of performance is 16 October 2020 � 31 December 2020. Note that there is an additional six days of sea trials whose dates will be coordinated with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) after contract award. An arrival conference will be held within 48 hours of the scheduled start date. PROPOSAL DUE DATE: Proposals must arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time on 25 September 2020.
