- This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation announcement for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Solicitation number 1010389NPSWMGT-2 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-07 corrections. North American Classification Coded (NAICS) 334516 Laboratory Equipment and Supplies is applicable. Interested offerors must submit their proposal with the price on a separate sheet to althea.paul@usda.gov by 09/24/2020 @ 10:00 a.m. Price shall include all labor, supervision, supplies, materials, service warranty costs, shipping costs, discount terms and any additional discounts offered from the standard pricing to your most favorable customer. All responses will be evaluated. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract in September 2020 to the offeror with the lowest price technically acceptable. Product Specification/Service description: Large Lab Grinder Specifications Must meet the specifications and capabilities of the Retsch SM400 XL grinder. Must be capable of grinding material sizes of 170 X 220 MM diameter and up to 3 meters long for processing full corn stalks or material of that size Must be capable of grinding hard materials like wood or woody type stems and pieces of material Must have easy access to grinding chamber to be able to completely clean grinder between samples Must have capability of sieve sizes from 1MM to 20MM for finished material Must have at least a 3 kW power drive Must have a grinder chamber volume capability of at least 7 liters Must have variable speed capabilities DELIVERY: The Contractor will notify Dennis Bookhamer by email at dennis.bookhamer@usda.gov, Allison Mowery at allison.mowery@usda.gov, and althea.paul@usda.gov when the items have shipped and provide the tracking number. All proposals shall be submitted via email to althea.paul@usda.gov.
