- This contract is to support the Minuteman III (MMIII) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Propulsion Subsystem to ensure that it remains operational and meets warfighter requirements for an estimated 18-year period or until completion of MMIII deactivation and disposal. The MMIII Propulsion Subsystem includes boosters, liquids, support equipment, ordnance, and both flight and ground batteries. The Propulsion Mission Statement is to integrate and coordinate all activities necessary to assess, report, and sustain the operational capability and reliability of the ICBM Propulsion Subsystem through deactivation and disposal. The Propulsion Subsystem Support Contract (PSSC) shall assist the Government in maintaining the MMIII weapon system. Work shall be in areas including, but not limited to; sustaining engineering, maintenance engineering, modification of systems and equipment, hardware and software maintenance, developmental and production engineering, procurement, replenishment, repair, and refurbishment. The contractor shall be required to conduct materials and subcomponent analysis and test, including aging surveillance test and evaluation.� The primary focus shall be to identify aging mechanism, anomalous behavior, and ensure any modifications or changes to the system which shall maintain and/or improve system-level performance. Update 9/17/2020: The purpose of this solicitation amendment is to adjust the anticipated award date of this contract from Nov 2020 to May 2021 (see attached document FA821420R7000 Amend1). Any necessary pricing updates caused by this change should be submitted to the AF NLT 30 Oct 2020.
