- The US Army Futures Command, Combat Capabilities Development Command � Soldier Center (CCDC-SC), Natick Contracting Division, intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Only One Responsible source, and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Government requirements, for the purchase of a immersion Rotary Jet-Spinning (iRJS) set-up. The Harvard Design and Instrumentation Shop is the only facility with the�expertise and experence using resistant, difficult to handle materials such as Hastelloy C276 tomake a reservoir, to fabricate a bath container that holds the precipitating bath in place while the bath solution is spinning, to fabricate a base plate to align and hold in place the bath container, collector, and collector motor, and to fabricate and assemble a modular and adjustable framing system to support the inverted motor being inserted into the bath to make an iRJS system, A Firm Fixed Price contract will be issued. This is not a request for quotes. No solicitation package is available. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.� North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541715 - Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology).
