Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and attached Product Description, and Physical Address and Delivery Schedule. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Combined synopsis/solicitation number FA8052-20-R-0026 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP), entitled BioFire Respiratory 2.1 (RP2.1) Panel with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). This requirement is to provide BioFire� Respiratory 2.1 (RP2.1) Panel with SARS-CoV-2. The BioFire� Respiratory 2.1 (RP2.1) Panel with SARS-CoV-2 should not only detect SARS-CoV-2, but also detect 21 additional respiratory pathogens to help clinicians quickly rule in and rule out other common causes of respiratory illness. Furthermore, the BioFire� Respiratory 2.1 (RP2.1) Panel with SARS-CoV-2 shall be compatible for use on both the BioFire 2.0, BioFire Torch, and/or other BioFire analyzers. The associated NAICS code is 325413, In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation notice should not be construed as authority to proceed or the acquisition of items is assured, as successful negotiations are a prerequisite to the issuance of a contract award. Performance on this effort shall not proceed until the Offeror receives direction from the Contracting Officer or issuance of an executed contract award. The Contracting Officer is the only official with the authority to bind the Government contractually. Technical representatives of the Government are not authorized to make binding contractual decisions regarding price, schedule, quality, or quantity. NOTE: Attachment 03_Provisions_Clauses is provided on the Standard Form (SF) 1449; however this document is only provided to delineate the anticipated provisions and clauses associated with this requirement. Please do not complete the SF 1449. Rather, please provide your proposal in accordance with the instructions provided on Attachment 00_Combined Synopsis_Solicitation.
