Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) herein issues Invitation for Bids (IFB) 15B11420B00000002 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled �New Food Service Kitchen � Package A� at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Petersburg. FCI Petersburg is a federal correctional institution located at 1060 River Road, Hopewell, Virginia 23860.��� The anticipated performance period for the project will be 287 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work.� The purpose of the project is as follows: - Demolition of the existing food service building, and the construction of a new food service facility in approximately the same location. The new facility is approximately 23,000SF on one floor, with a mechanical mezzanine encompassing approximately 2,000 SF of additional space. - The scope of Bid Package A includes, but is not necessarily limited to, abatement of existing hazardous materials, demolition of existing food service building, demolition of portion of existing utility tunnel, site utilities, site grading, site improvements, cast in place concrete footings, poured concrete mezzanine slab over deck, masonry exterior bearing wall assemblies, limited interior masonry walls at structural bearing locations, interior steel column/beam framing, steel roof framing and decking, steel mezzanine framing and decking, stairs, roofing and flashing, doors and frames, windows, and other work as indicated in the construction documents. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.� (NOTE: This range is one of eight available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range.� It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The solicitation will be distributed solely through the website at https://beta.sam.gov.� Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available.� The website provides download instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments, will also be distributed solely through this website.� Interested parties are responsible for continuously monitoring this website to ensure that they have the most recent information about this proposed contract action.
