Description
** AMENDMENT A00001 Removal, Disposal, and Replacement of a Revolving Door - West Haven Connecticut Vendor Questions and Government Answers ** The purpose of this amendment is to provide Government answers to Vendor Questions. Question 1: Are there any as build prints or cut sheets of existing revolving door that can be provided to bidders? Answer 1: The only prints that were located are the attached structural build prints. The existing door Vendor may have cut sheets, but we do not have access to them. Question 2: Has any asbestos or lead testing been performed in location of existing revolving doors? Answer 2: No testing has been performed; however, this door was installed well after the time when asbestos and lead paint were commonly used. Question 3: Is there any suspected ACM or lead paint present? Answer 3: Same as Answer 2 Question 4: New Doors will be of smaller diameter, there will need to be trim work around the curved radius at the revolving door canopy needed to close off those gaps, will this be added to the scope? Answer 4: Any variation in door size shall need approval prior to the acquisition of the door (door dimensions shall be submitted at time of quote package submittal). If variance in door size creates a gap in any door gaps the vendor shall fill those gaps with astatically appealing and functional materials with VA approval. Question 5: Existing footprint of the new revolving door will not match the new revolving door, will this be added to the scope? Answer 5: See Question 4 Question 6: Do temporary entrance/exits need to be provided while construction of revolving door is being performed? Answer 6: There are alternate options for entrances, no action is needed from the contractor Question 7: Door is going to be small, what is the current finish schedule on that? (Architectural finish schedule for the front door as well-asking for what were the exterior finishes/current finishes. Not time frame-product of material being installed and what we need to match during the install) Answer 7: See answer 4
