- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD ON A SOLE-SOURCE BASIS The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services Gavins Point National Fish Hatchery (Service) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition procedures to Vemco located in Nova Scotia Canada. The requirement is for receivers and transmitters which are required to monitor habitat use, migration, and reproductive success of silver and bighead carp in response to high priority management actions identified in the Management and Control Plan for Bighead, Black, Grass, and Silver Carp as well as the Missouri River Basin Asian Carp Control Strategy Framework. The North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this action is 334511 � Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing and the size standard is 1,250 employees. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency by 09/20/2020 to Jennifer Smith at Jennifer_Smith@fws.gov. This notice is for informational purposes only. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government
