- Description
- Amendment 1 of 1. The purpose of this amendment is to clarify the requirement, to answer relevant questions, and to include Attachment 3. Map Incl. Building Names. Clarification: Requirement is to provide support services to a legacy physical access control system installed approx. 17 years ago. The USGS does not own the structures that it occupies. Due to circumstances beyond USGS' control, and to the best of USGS' knowledge, no schematics, wiring diagrams or similarly detailed descriptions for these facilities exist; therefore, none can be provided. Question #1. Are ceilings suspended or hard-lid? Ans.#1. Suspended & hard lid at the Marine Operations Facility (warehouse), wall to ceiling in Gundersen Annex* w/ limited access to run cables. Emory* bldg. has a hard lid ceiling. *Note: Attachment 3. provides a map associating names to the Quissett Campus' buildings. Question #2. Are there existing cable trays for wiring above ceilings? Ans.#2. No. Question #3. Is an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) required/installed? Ans. #3. The controllers rely on battery back-up; quarterly maintenance (battery change) required. Question #4. Is ""plenum wire"" acceptable? Ans. #4. All network devices are/shall be connected using at least CAT6A. Question #5. At what height are the exterior cameras installed? Ans. #5. There are multiple exterior cameras; estimate on the tallest is ~40-50ft. Question #6. Are there current plans to install more equipment, upgrade, etc.? Would an awardee have a list of deferred/new tasks to accomplish? Ans. #6. ""No"", and ""Not at the moment"", respectively. ***End of Amendment 1.*
