The purpse of this Amendment is to provide answers to the questions received in reponse to this solicitation. 2. As a result of this Amendment: a. Questions and Answers have been posted on the continuation pages of this document. 3. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Katie Lavely Contracting Officer CONTINUATION PAGE Question 1: In regard to the height, is the 15-16 ft the peak height or the side wall height? Gov t Response 1: Peak height. The goal is to be able to have a lifted truck be able to drive through. The tents will be for drive through medicine. Question 2: Is a gable shape permitted in leu of a round shape? Gov t Response 2: Yes. Again, the goal is to have a vehicle drive through the tent. Question 3: In regard to the wind requirements of 150-160 mph, does the shelter need to be engineered to the standard ASCE 7-16 or is there another engineering standard? Gov t Response 3: Safest standards possible, able to withstand high winds and heavy rain. Question 4: Will this shelter be anchored to soil, asphalt, or concrete? Gov t Response 4: Needs to be able to be anchored to soil, asphalt and weighted placement (no anchors, only sandbags or other applied weights). Question 5: Does this need to be Berry Amendment compliant? (Berry Amendment is significantly different requirement for tents than Made in USA which is often non-compliant to federal procurement law)? Gov t Response 5: Berry Amendment applies to DOD under 10 USC. The Buy American Act covers this for the VA. Question 6: Does this need to be Buy American Act compliant? (Buy American Act is significantly different requirement than Made in USA which is often non-compliant to federal procurement law) Gov t Response 6: Yes, needs to be compliant with FAR 52.225-1, Buy American-Supplies.
