Description

The Naval medical Research Center intends to award a sole source contract to Teledyne Instruments, Inc., Mason OH, 45040. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, if interested, the Government shall consider all responses.� The Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio (NAMRU-SA) requires a vendor to provide unlimited technical assistance by phone, one on-site preventative maintenance, and one on-site emergency repair (if needed). The vendor must include software updates, any non-consumable parts, travel, labor, and lodging for technician site visits. In the case of an instrument failure emergency, the contracted company shall respond by phone within 4 hrs of contact and be on-site to perform repairs within 48 hrs of contact (in the absence of significant mitigating circumstances). The sole source service contract would provide coverage to repair the instrument in the event of failure, would cover the costs of parts, on-site repair work, software upgrades, and an annual PM to keep the instrument running at peak efficiency. The maintenance contract is for a period of performance of 12-months, beginning at contract award, followed by three one-year option periods.
