- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. BACKGROUND: The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) is one of the nation's premier research institutions in the areas of clinical research in muscle, skin, bone, and rheumatic diseases. Investigators within the Intramural Research Program of NIAMS rely on the use of different instrumentation in the study of muscle, rheumatic, immunological, and skin diseases. This process involves the use of a wide range of genomics applications focused on the study of different conditions. To expand the research efforts, the Genomics Technology Section Core Facility is currently seeking the procure an automated high throughput platform to isolate single cells using imaging. The Core Facility, like most other Institutes at NIH and sequencing centers around the world, adopts new emerging technologies in order to maintain the leading edge on genomics and epigenomic research areas. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED COMBINED SYNOPSIS This system will be used in the Genomics Technology Section's core facility to perform a wide range of single-cell genomic applications, including NGS. The system will be used to generate epigenetic information of thousands of cells of up to eight different cell populations. This requirement will reduce challenges faced in single-cell full-length transcriptomics analysis, single-cell human TCR profiling, single-cell differential expression analysis by3' end counting, single-cell ATAC-Seq, and the new application CUT&Tag. OBJECTIVE The goal of this procurement is to integrate an automated single-cell platform that will combine the power of imaging and dispensing for isolation of single-cell, to facilitate genomics research application tools for NIAMS investigators.
