Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Government currently intends to award a sole source purchase order to Marco Ophthalmic to provide Tonoref ll (M3 revised) instrument for the Optometry Clinic at Raymond W Bliss Army Health Center, Fort Huachuca, AZ This requirement also includes all installation equipment and training. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price awarded to: Marco Ophthalmic 11825 Central Parkway Jacksonville FL 32224 Description of Services or Supplies: This requirement is for a TONOREFII AutoRefractor/Keratometer w/Tonometryand includes all peripheral equipment, installation with supplies and training.� This instrument is the provided by Marco Ophthalmic and is the only instrument in the market that provides for automatic refraction, and non-contact tonometry combined in one instrument.� Additionally, this equipment is compatible with the equipment in the clinic.�� This sole source requirement is issued under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. Marco Ophthalmic is the exclusive sole distributor of the Nidek Tonoref ll units in the United States. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future.� The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice.� The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole source synopsis is for informational purposes only.
