- Description
- Solicitation Number: N0038320Q040D NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to repair the items as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Government intends to solicit for the repair of: 2 Fan, Vaneaxial; NSN: 7RE 4140-01-329-3428; P/N: 52E15-1; in support of Foreign Military Sales. The government does not possess (or cannot provide) the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the item. This part must be acquired from or repaired by a manufacturing or repair source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition or repair from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in Government possession and cannot be economically obtained. Two of the items under this acquisition are subject to the Trade Agreements Act (TAA). The applicable TAA clauses and certificates will be included in the solicitation and contract. Other potentially applicable clauses and certificates, for example those governing specialty metals, commercial derivative military articles, and the prohibition against acquiring munitions list items from Communist China military companies, will also be included. No other restrictions (for example, those for clothing, roller bearings, etc.) have been identified as applying to the 2 items. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 4:30 PM Eastern Time (USA) on 9/16/20 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required. NAVSUP WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair. Additional information for submitting a Source Approval Request package can be obtained at: https://www.navsup.navy.mil/public/navsup/home/ The POC is Your Name; 215-697-2217; Mary.R.Cole@Navy.mil
