Description
This is published as a sole source announcement under the statutory authority at 10 USC 2304(c) (1), and regulatory authority at FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. 374th Yokota Air Base Contracting Command intends to negotiate and award a firm fixed-price contract on a sole source basis to Motorola Solutions, Incorporated, 7031 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia Maryland, 21046-2583, for an Operation and Maintenance for Motorola Personal Wireless Communications Systems (PWCS) performed at Yokota Air Base, Japan. The O&M for Motorola PWCS shall be performed on-site at Yokota AB, located in Fussa- city, Tokyo, Japan. for the required services stated in attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Contractor is required to be on-site As a monthly service for one year period from, the contractor shall provide Engineering support/technical solutions on existing base systems and assistance in formulation of new systems when requested by the COR. If the COR accepts the engineering proposal and estimate, a JCN will be issued by the COR for the contractor to begin work. Increases in the total cost of the project must be approved by the COR. Equipment engineering support to resolve unique local problems and trouble areas will be provided at no additional cost to the Government beyond that listed in the original estimate. Services must include � Provide expertise in feature operation and implementation � Ensure rapid restoration: Direct support teams to resolve complex issues � Monitor compliance to Service Level Agreement � Provide Accurate, up-to-date asset inventory management � Leverage system capability � Maintain a local single point of contact at Yokota AB: Utilizing a tiered approach of factory trained local and regionally based support along with having higher tier Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) support when needed. � Utilize Factory and Depot level programming software (Depot Tools) � Oversee the implementation of system upgrades � Coordinate user training. This solicitation is the result of Sources sought issued on 14 Aug as FA520920PWCS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Request for Proposal FA520920Q0095 is now issued.
