Description
Request for Information:Regional Development Cooperation Strategy Technical Feedback Reference Number:720486RFI20RDCS Release Date: September 1, 2020 Response Due Date: September 21, 2020, 9:00 AM, Bangkok time Respond to: Charles W. Lewis II at chlewis@usaid.gov The United States Agency for International Development, Regional Development Mission for Asia (USAID/RDMA) is hereby issuing a Request for Information (RFI)to gather information to support anticipated strategy development for regional foreign assistance objectives. The RFI offers the opportunity for interested individuals and organizations to provide recommendations on approaches to develop sound development solutions aligned with anticipated priority sectors. In responding to this RFI, significant emphasis should be placed on identifying regional challenges across the sectors and regional approaches USAID/RDMA could potentially take to support implementation of the Regional Development Cooperation Strategy (RDCS). USAID/RDMAs core geographic coverage is Southeast Asia, with particular emphasis on the Lower Mekong region. However, depending on the particular sector or development challenge, regional programming may extend beyond this focus to other areas within Asia. Regional programming should work across borders and should not be duplicative of programming within a particular country, which is implemented by USAID bilateral missions in the region; rather, it should augment and amplify country-specific approaches to address a development challenge transnationally through regional and global bodies and organizations. Response to this RFI is voluntary. Responders are free to address any or all the above items, as well as provide additional information they think is relevant to regional strategy development. Please note USAID is not seeking technical or cost proposals in response to this RFI. Do not submit any proposal. Issuance of this notice does not constitute an award commitment on the part of the U.S. Government, nor does it commit the Government to pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of comments. We look forward to receiving your valuable inputs to better shape our development strategies. Thank you for your interest in USAIDs activities in the region. Sincerely, /s/ William Sedlak Regional Agreement/Contracting Officer USAID/RDMA, Bangkok, Thailand
