Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS), San Juan; Puerto Rico is conducting market research to identify potential sources with the qualification and/or require certification to perform internal examinations of the Fire Suppression System. The inspections will determine if there is a presence of foreign, organic, and inorganic material and piping obstruction. The internal pipe examination for obstruction investigation and flow test will be performed in the South Bed Tower Building; a 7-story healthcare setting with two main standpipes with approximately 9,280 linear feet of sprinkler protection located at the VA Caribbean Healthcare in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Interested sources shall provide references of previous projects that are of similar scope, training certifications and qualification documentation demonstrating the qualified inspector is responsible for the inspection, assessment, and repair services of the fire protection system that meets and complies with the latest edition of NFPA 25. Proof of liability insurance and workmen s compensation insurance. This is sources sought notice only; it is not a request for quotations. The purpose of this Source Sought notice is to identify Service Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Small Business interested in this procurement, the level of experience, qualifications, and whether it might be suitable for a specific small business socioeconomic group set-aside. This is a one-time requirement contract to perform internal examinations of the Fire Suppression System in accordance with station requirements. Expressions of interest shall be submitted to Mrs. Karina A Miranda, via email at: karina.miranda@va.gov on or before August 31, 2020, close of business, 10:00 am local time the following information: a. Company profile and capability statement comparable to the marketing package your company uses in their ordinary course of business. Please ensure the following information is included: point of contact information, DUNS Number, company business size and socioeconomic category such as: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran- Owned Small Business (VOSB), Women-Owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, Small Business. b. Provide references of previous projects that are of similar scope as outline above. c. Information of personnel training certifications and qualification documentation that meets and complies with the latest edition of NFPA.
