- Description
- Statement of Specification COMSOL The purpose of this acquisition is for scientist research. The estimated price for this acquisition is $17,985. Three add-on software modules including 1) Particle Tracing Module, 2) AC/DC Module, and 3) Microfluidics Module are required for COMSOL Multiphysics main software. The COMSOL software from COMSOL, Inc. fits our requirement and is critical to continue surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRi) research for QSARU. Our lab has already COMSOL Multiphysics main software. Three additional software modules are necessary for simulation research, COMSOL, Inc. is the only vendor that can guarantee complete function with the price of acquisition for existing software, thus there is no known competitive product meeting this requirement. The purchasing software modules (detail specifications are below) require Multiphysics main software, which has already been installed in our lab. Particle Tracing Module: Charged particle tracing interface to model ion and electron trajectories in electric and magnetic fields including elastic collisions with a background gas; Particle tracing for fluid flow interface to model the motion of microscopic and macroscopic particles in a fluid; Mathematical particle tracing interface, which offers complete freedom over the equations solved; Massless, Newtonian, Lagrangian, and Hamiltonian formulations; Predefined forces to facilitate model set-up. AC/DC Module: Electric currents with current conservation; Electric currents, layered shell electrical circuit with SPICE netlist import; Electrostatics with charge conservation; Magnetic and electric fields; Magnetic field formulation; Magnetic fields; Magnetic fields, no currents; Particle field interaction, relativistic; Rotating machinery in 2D and 3D, magnetic; Electrostatics, boundary elements; Magnetic fields, no currents, boundary elements. Microfluidics Module: Microfluidics simulations include flows mixing or reacting in microfluidic channels. Furthermore, these simulations model the effect of small changes on similar geometries, such as the length of the channel or the number of channel bends. In order to facilitate fast and efficient simulation of microfluidics channels, the Microfluidics Module includes a set of predefined geometry components representing some common channel configurations. All microfluidic channel parts are modularized (parameterized) through a number of input parameters corresponding to important geometrical properties of each part. The government anticipates award of a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the specifications will be most advantageous to the Government. PAYMENT: Any award made under this solicitation is subject to 31 CFR Part 208 which requires all payments made by the government to be made by electronic funds transfer. Please note on your proposal if you will accept a government purchase (Mastercard) card. This solicitation incorporates the following FAR clauses, provisions, and addendums: 52-212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Item; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items annual representations and certifications are required. Offers shall include a statement as follows on their offer: the offeror verifies by submission of this offer that the representations and certifications currently posted electronically at https://www.sam.gov have been entered or updated in the last 12 months, are current, accurate, complete, and applicable to this solicitation (including the business size standard applicable to the NAICS code referenced for this solicitation), as of the date of this offerand are incorporated in this offer by reference, except for paragraphs ______________;52.212-4 ContractTerms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or ExecutiveOrders-CommercialItems. In paragraph B of 52.212-5, the following apply:52.219-28, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-36, 52.225-3, 52.225-13, and 52.225-33.In theevent the vendorwill accept payment via the Government Purchase Card (Mastercard), thevendor shall annotate on its offer that it will accept the purchasecard, and clause 52.232-33 will be superseded by clause 52.232-36. All sources wishing to provide a quotation must respond by 5:00 PM, September 8, 2020.Quotations should be addressed to USNPRC 950 College Station Rd, Athens, GA 30605.POC is Kelly Bero, Purchasing Agent, 706/546-3025.
