Description
1. Below lists the minimum requirements of the Giant Voice; a. 3x WPS 2904 Whelen Siren System (4 cell) with type 3 cabinet (4 batteries for extra run time) b. 12x Whelen Solar SBC480 80 Watt solar panels with 3 dual solar controllers and solar mounting brackets c. 1x E1000 controller base station, 3-2 way option C2030N for radio cabinets (frequencies to be provided by UTTR FD) d. 1x Motorola Vertex vx2100 base station radio with power supply. Radio programming e. 3x Class 2 Heavy wood poles for each siren plus shipping, and ((installation)) f. 12x DEKA Batteries (7T31 or equivalent) for siren cabinets g. 1x 60 foot self-supporting Rohn 55 Tower (or equivalent) next to fire station for antenna placement of Giant Voice, and moving 4 other radio antenna�s from the fire station roof to the new tower, installation will include a base of concrete at least 4 foot 8 inches. h. 6x messages pre-recorded to access at the push of a button message to be determined when UTTR FD decides on what messages are needed. i. Contractor should be able to provide Whelen installation certification within the last 2 years j. 2 year workmanship warranty 2. All remaining pieces and parts involved in mounting to the pole and gaining signal, bolts, nuts, antenna cable, ground kits, connectors, wire for solar panels, pipes, conduit down from siren, ground wire, ground rods, split bolts, grounding wire and rods for tower at the fire station, shipping, concrete, sono tubes, rebar, and all other necessary equipment and specialized equipment (examples of specialized equipment would be cranes, backhoe, cement trucks) necessary to complete the installation of all poles (placement of poles to be determined by UTTR and UTTR Fire Department) and towers will be included in bid and will be the responsibility of the contractor and not the UTTR Fire Department or UTTR. 3. All work will be located at the UTTR compound I-80 W, exit 62, 17 Miles North, this is approximately 105 miles from Hill AFB. Lodging cannot be accommodated on site, the closest hotel is either Wendover NV, or Grantsville UT approximately 60 miles away.
