140R3020Q0105 Mobile Tower Trailer Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Amendment 1: The purpose of this amendment is to add Questions and Answers , the quote due date remains Sept 2, 202 at 4pm PST. A. Questions and Answers: a. What is the overall height of the tower? i. Transport height 12'6"" and the height of the tower 21', or a single section of hot-dip galvanized tower section. b. Regarding the payload of the tower (equipment mounted to the tower); How much does the 6ft antenna weight? i. 190 pounds c. Can you provide the exact dimension of the antenna (H x L x W) i. H = 74.8"" Diameter L = 39.4"" radome to feedhorn flange c. VHLP6-7W Microwave d. Does the antenna require any special brackets to mount to the tower? i. recommend the valmont R5 and 5' 4"" OD pipe for the antenna to mount to and bring the stiff arm to the back side of the tower steel e. Is the vendor supposed to provide the generator and radio cabinet? i. No, No space is required for cabinet on the deck of the trailer. f. Will the tower be put up manually or via some power source? (i.e. generator or shore power) i. It will put up manually. g. Is a cabinet (separate from the utility/storage box called out later) required? If so, size? i. We will not be using a cabinet all we need is a mobile Tower Trailer and then we will cable to another location in a building for the Radio. The tower will be used for the 6 foot antenna. B. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) To facilitate electronic quote submissions through beta.SAM Contract Opportunities, a request for quote (RFQ No. 140R3020Q0030) is being issued subsequent to this combined solicitation/synopsis. (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 2020-08, dated 08/13/2020. (iv) This requirement is a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is: 336214, Travel Trailer and Camper Manufacturing. The small business size standard for NAICS Code 336214 is 1,000 employees. (v) Line item 0010 Mobile Tower Trailer The Salient Characteristics provides more detailed information about the requirement and is attached to the RFQ. Line item 0020 Freight Charges (vi) The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to a Mobile Tower Trailer for the Blythe area office. (vii) Work shall begin on or about September 10, 2020. All work shall be completed by November 15, 2020.
